We are a coalition of community members studying LGBTQ+ health and resilience in Texas.

In 2017, Amy L. Stone (Trinity University), Phillip W. Schnarrs (The University of Texas), and Robert Salcido (The Pride Center San Antonio) were awarded fellowships with the Interdisciplinary Research Leaders Program supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. As part of the IRL fellowship program the trio received funding to study LGBTQ+ health and resilience in San Antonio.

During the summer of 2018, the team, along with summer research interns from Trinity University, conducted 82 interviews and surveyed over 800 LGBTQ+ individuals living in San Antonio about their health, experiences of trauma and adversity, as well as how they are resilient.
